Select Choir

The Pierz Select Choir comprises about 30 11th and 12th grade students and is the top vocal ensemble. The Select Choir integrates elements of auditory, vocal, kinesthetic, and aesthetic dimensions of choral music through analysis, rehearsal, and performance. Particular attention is paid to ensemble participation in the context of rehearsal and performance, and community building. In 2021-2022, Select Choir performed in four concerts throughout the year, participated in a variety of statewide honor choirs, performed in the community, gave special performances to Elementary students, sent a student to the MN All-State choir, and participated in large group contests and solo/ensemble contests, earning top scores. Select Choir also welcomed a variety of guest conductors and musicians throughout the year that help build on our work and expand our thinking!

Bella Voce Grades 8-12

Bella Voce treble voice extracurricular choir of about 20 students. This group is focused on community building and empowering treble voices! Singers in this choir sang a varied repertoire! Bella Voce performed in three concerts throughout the year and received a perfect score at the MSHSL small group contest.

Concert Choir Grades 9-10

The Pierz Concert Choir comprises about 60 9th and 10th grade students. The Concert Choir integrates auditory, vocal, kinesthetic, and aesthetic dimensions of choral music through analysis, rehearsal, and performance. Particular attention is paid to ensemble participation in rehearsal and performance. From 2021-2022, Concert Choir performed in four concerts throughout the year, participated in various statewide honor choirs, and participated in significant group contests, earning top scores.
