Congratulations to Mrs. Pat Tax, industrial technology teacher at Pierz Schools, on being selected as the recipient of the Minnesota Association of Soil and Water Conservation Districts (MASWCD) Teacher Award! Nominated by the Morrison Soil and Water Conservation District (SWCD), Mrs. Tax is being recognized for outstanding work in teaching natural resource conservation and creating hands-on, engaging learning experiences that help students connect classroom learning to the world around them.

The award celebrates her dedication to providing students with meaningful opportunities to explore natural resource conservation through detailed, hands-on instruction. This statewide recognition highlights the impact of educators who inspire students to learn about, appreciate and care for the natural resources in their communities.

Tax will receive the award during the MASWCD’s 90th Annual Convention Awards Luncheon on Tuesday, December 1, 2026, in Bloomington. Congratulations to Mrs. Tax on this well-deserved recognition and for making a difference in the lives of Pierz students--we are so fortunate!
