Mr. Kurt Litke, former Pioneer Teacher, invited the 5th grade students to learn about forest management this week. Mr. Litke talked to the students about  logging practices that took place in this area when it was first settled.  After learning how loggers used to accomplish the job, students got to see current equipment of the trade in action thanks to Kevin and Craig Holtz. It was a memorable experience and offered real life experience to many topics in social studies, science, and Metier classes. What a cool experience!
